About CICA

The Committee on Inter-College Affairs (formerly named Inter-College Council) was formally established in 2013 and is dedicated to all students across the collegiate system of the Residential College (RC). CICA’s aims and objectives are as follows:

• Organize the Masters’ Cup Competition
• Ensure fair game and promote sportsmanship
• Promote a strong sense of belonging and affiliation with the Colleges
• Create a strong sense of camaraderie, participation and teamwork
• Enhance the spirit of healthy living and well-being

The structure of CICA is composed of the members of the House Association Executive Committee from the ten RCs, one ex officio Advisor and one ex officio Deputy-Advisor from the academic staff of the RCs, and one Secretariat from the administrative staff of the RC of the Advisor or Deputy-Advisor.

CICA is designed specifically to serve all students across the colleges through different sports and cultural activities.

Each activity is organized by members of the House Association as a learning experience for all participants through their involvement in public relations, organization, administration, budgeting and scheduling, as well as the development of skills in their particular sport. While participation in CICA activities is open to RC students and members of staff, the primary philosophy of CICA is “student-led, student-run.”
