Highlights for Academic Year 2019/20 (AY2019/2020)
CICA strives to provide educational, competitive, and entertaining events and activities for all college members across different RC. However, in view of the very unusual epidemic impact by COVID-19, 2 out of 8 planned activities were hosted in the first semester, i.e., cheerleading and basketball competition, while the Master Cup and the remaining 6 activities were cancelled (i.e., cooking, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, football, and music festival).
Despite only two activities were hosted, all CICA representatives were highly motivated and a strong team was built. Every team member gained valuable experiences and learned the way that how a team was worked and learned to collaborate with other representatives through co-working in events and weekly meetings. Some team members in CICA 2019-2020 also volunteered to be the president and helper for the next academic year.
Highlights for Academic Year 2018/2019 (AY2018/2019)
In the academic year of 2018-2019, CICA held nine sports and cultural events, which were basketball, football, badminton, table tennis, archery, kin-ball, cooking, music, and cheerleading. All the events were well-received and exciting. All CICA representatives and helpers were highly motivated and involved in the event planning and operations. Through the process, their leadership and communication skills were strengthened. Participants of the activities were enthusiastic and committed. They have built up stronger rapport among each other, and gained remarkable learning experiences through training for and participation in the events. In addition, by regularly attending the sports and cultural activities, our students have developed a healthier living style and a sharper cultural sense. Overall, we have achieved the aim of CICA this year, and our students have grown in mind, body and spirit to a higher level.
